System Design and Installation
The installed system has a total capacity of 7.12kW and features 15 high-efficiency AIKO Neostar all black solar panels. The majority of the panels were installed on the pitched roof to take advantage of optimal orientation and natural angle, while four panels were mounted on the flat roof using a specialist mounting system to achieve the ideal tilt for solar generation.
This dual-roof configuration allowed Insolation Solar to maximise the available installation space and deliver a larger, more efficient system than would have been possible using a single roof surface alone.
The installation was completed by Insolation Solar’s experienced in-house engineers, ensuring all work was carried out safely, efficiently and in line with industry best practice.
Battery Storage and Performance
The system was paired with a 10.2kWh EcoFlow battery, enabling the homeowner to store excess solar energy generated during the day for use during the evening and overnight.
This significantly increases self-consumption of solar energy and reduces reliance on the grid. Based on projected performance, the system is expected to eliminate the homeowner’s electricity bills, with the potential to generate surplus energy and leave the property in credit through export tariffs.
Environmental Impact
This residential solar installation delivers strong environmental benefits year after year. The system generates enough renewable energy to equate to planting approximately 30 trees annually, avoids the use of around 498 litres of petrol, and prevents approximately 566kg of coal from being burned each year.
These figures demonstrate the positive impact that solar panel installations can have in reducing carbon emissions and supporting a more sustainable future.
Financial Performance
From a financial perspective, this solar PV system offers significant long-term value. With an estimated annual generation of 5,645kWh, this will wipe out their electricity bill leaving them in credit.
